Statement of purpose-PLEASE READ

First, this is the SECOND blog I have made for this purpose. The first one is no longer updated.

Second, this post is dated 2018 so it stays on the top of the blog.

I wanted to put all my blogs under a single Blogger account, so that blog will be deleted and this will be the new one.

This blog has TWO purposes; to showcase my own design work and to comment on the work of others as well as design theory, showcasing artists I admire and love, bringing attention to design trends, and so forth

Just so I'm clear, not everything you see here is my own work. If it is, I will say so. If it is not, I will say so. There will be MANY posts linking to the work of other designers and detailing my analyses of various art and design works.

Now, as for who I am and what I offer in regards to my own work;

I am a Graphic Designer, who specializes in Digital Illustration, Web Graphics, Logo Design, CD Roms, and Page Layouts. I am proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, Quark, Macromedia Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash, and Director. I am also familiar with most Misrosoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

I am capable of designing logos, informative interactive CD Roms, webpages, Flash animations and interfaces, any sort of digital illustration, flyers, magazines and other publications, billboards, and presentations.

I have created this blog to promote and advertise my services. Any and all practice designs that I create to keep my skills sharp and honed will be posted here for prospective clients to view and evaluate, as well as prospective employers who wish to see samples.

Note that I have edited the time of this post to a future date so this post will remain at the top of the page, and the information will be easily accesible for viewers.

Comments are disabled on posts. Use my contact information if you have comments, questions, or are interested in my services.

Grey and Orange?

http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/sf/infusing-a-pop-of-orange-into-a-gray-space-098848

Who says orange doesn't go good with anything?

And I've got a lot of grey in my living room and kitchen, with no orange. I might give this a try sometime.

And I'd never thought of orange and grey going together in general. I need to keep that in mind for future work.

Best Kept Secret event in January.

Nancy, one of my clients, had an event for her assorted products in Ybor City this past weekend, at a restaurant. It went well enough that there will be another event held in January or so, but the details on that are still being hammered out.

More to come on that.

LIGHTHOUSE

Lighthouse. I had been meaning to do more text fill images. I was telling my brother about this, and showing him some of my other text images. Well, his company designs kids playgrounds for museums and stuff. The elaborate kind, such as castles, trees, etc. He had one that I liked of a Lighthouse, so I did this based on the concept drawing he did of it. I'm very happy with it, and he liked it as well. So, I'm quite satisfied with this piece.

ERASE.

A photo I took, sort of. I just thought this would be fun.

PAINT image.

I decided that a text art image of a pencil would be a great idea, so this is what I came up with. I'm very satisfied with it. The text itself reads; "SKETCH:DRAW", and the pencils itself is supposed to look like a Staedler pencil, albeit vaguely so I don't get sued.
